LAMA

LAMA is a family-owned business established by Dr. Zafer Sawaf in 1963. Dr. Sawaf received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, he also held years of experience working in the Ministry of Industry, while he held the position of Secretary-General of Arab Standards and Metrology Organization (ASMO) in Jordan. His years of involvement in the science field allowed him to develop a baseline for asphalt-based recipes that LAMA was able to develop on over half a century

Producing Membranes.
After a decade of experimentation and development that showed a lot of promise and traction with the quality of coatings and mastics that LAMA produced, LAMA added its first membrane production line to the factory, a milestone in the future of the company.

Emerging as a Leader in our Industry.
LAMA enjoyed a prosperous time throughout the 1990s. It was able to streamline its processes, and it built a reputation of quality and reliable products amongst contractors, making it an industry standard in the Middle East region.

LAMA’s Builds More Factories.
Due to increasing demand, LAMA built two new factories in 2002 and in 2012 and were able to further expand regional reach.

Canada: A new beginning.
LAMA is now operating a new plant in Brantford, ON.
